Unveiling WP Packages: Creative Ideas For Packaging Your WordPress Expertise

Today, we’re diving into the wonderful world of WordPress! It’s one of my absolute favorite things – working, designing, and building websites with it. It was a serious cash cow for me in my VA days, and I also love teaching it. Now, let’s tackle a common question I get from those venturing into the realm of WordPress services: How do you package your knowledge?

Selling your WordPress expertise by the hour is a no-go – people often don’t grasp the intricacies of web development. So, let’s talk about some killer ways to package and monetize your WordPress skills.

First up, design packages. Start simple with one-page or five-page websites. I began with just these two options – one for a quick start and the other with a blog included. Over time, I expanded into various specialties.

Then there’s the goldmine – monthly management or update packages. This is your recurring revenue, the sweet spot where you work with existing clients to keep their WordPress sites in top shape. It’s crucial for stability in the tech world, where most work is project-based.

Now, let’s talk audits. Troubleshooting, coaching, consulting – call it what you want—charge for picking your brain and proposing solutions.

Migrations are another fantastic avenue. Moving websites from one platform to another – think WordPress, Squarespace, or Wix – can be a steady income stream.

Specialize further with performance optimization – ensuring websites run at peak speed and security measures to keep them safe.

Consider diving into e-commerce using platforms like Shopify and WooCommerce, or focus on blogging, analytics, SEO, membership platforms, accessibility, and even creating templates for passive income.

I’m a WordPress enthusiast, and I cover all this in my course, “WP Biz in a Box.” It’s not just about building websites; it’s about packaging, pricing, marketing, and effectively delivering your services.

Remember, selling expertise isn’t about time; it’s about offering off-the-shelf packages with explicit details. If you’re curious about packaging, check out this blog post.

In a nutshell, WordPress offers a myriad of ways to change the game for you, regardless of your initial knowledge level. I didn’t start as a WordPress expert, but I fell in love with it once I got going. Thanks for tuning in – I’ll catch you next time, and happy WordPress-ing!
