Is It Time To Change Your VA Business Model? Get The Insights You Need With These 4 Questions!

Are you considering a change in your VA business model? But you’re not sure if you’re reading “the signs” correctly and on top of it, it somehow makes you feel guilty? Let me assure you that these fears are just as normal as evolving in your VA business. 

You see, if you’re in business long enough, sooner or later, things will change. Services that you once enjoyed doing are no longer enjoyable. Or you may find yourself procrastinating or dreading doing certain types of work.

Believe it or not, but these are signs that it might be time to evolve—to change up your VA business model. Maybe you need to look at dropping a service or two, or maybe it’s time for something a little more drastic, like changing your VA business models or niches.

The point here is that it’s perfectly OK to change any and everything about your business. Remember my motto “Your business – your choice”. You don’t need anyone’s permission to change things up and evolve.

In fact, I change my business every few years. If you’ve followed me for a while, you know this. Why? Because life changes. Because interests change. Growth is a huge part of being a business owner and growth means change.

Get Insights With Questions To Yourself

When was the last time you changed things in your business? If you never have or it’s been a while it might be time to ask yourself a few leading questions. Really take a minute and feel into your answers to these questions because they will give you the revelation you need to move through a change with more confidence.

#1 – Are There Services That I Offer But I Don’t Enjoy Anymore?

Remember, the goal is only to offer what you love to do.

#2 – Have My Interests Changed?

Maybe you discovered something new you’re passionate about.

#3 – Is My Current VA Business Model Burning Me Out?

Maybe you want to add passive income to your business.

#4 – Is There Something New That I Feel Pulled To?

Maybe you want to coach or teach?

Communicate With Your Clients

One of the biggest issues I had was getting over the fear of letting go of what no longer brought me joy and worrying about what my clients or students would say. You’re in business FOR you – to only do the things that you love. You don’t need anyone’s permission to change or evolve.

If you realize it’s time for a change, my best advice is to communicate it with your clients. Tell them what’s going on and how it will affect them. Communication is key when making big changes in your business!

For example, if you decide to drop a service let your clients know and then offer to introduce them to someone who can help them going forward. Like a referral partner or a trusted partner that offers the service, you’re dropping. Offer to help them find someone else.
